Mesothelioma Veterans Center

Mesothelioma is primarily linked to asbestos exposure and may have appeared with the development of asbestos mining around 2000 BCE, though reports and extant evidence of the disease only reach back to the 19th century CE. While exposure was common across the United States in nearly all industries, it was particularly prevalent in the WWII-era military industrial cycle, including Navy shipyards. Nearly one third of all mesothelioma patients are veterans. The Mesothelioma Veterans Center seeks to raise awareness and offers free veteran specific resources and support on their website.
